On January 26, 2025, doublet unveiled its AUTUMN/WINTER 2025-2026 collection in Paris, featuring a special collaboration with AddElm. Several runway pieces incorporated AddElm’s innovative technology, bringing a new dimension to the collection.
Theme: "VILLAIN"
The concept behind doublet’s latest collection challenges conventional notions of imperfection and rejection.
"When you bend a plastic sheet, it turns white. The delicate cracks weaken its structure. In the industrial world, such 'defects' are unacceptable. A bent sheet is deemed useless—discarded, labeled a villain."
But what if those so-called defects could be transformed into something functional? What if gaps and cracks could be repurposed, like embedding insect-repellent properties into fabric to protect people from malaria?
The world is filled with individuals who don’t fit neatly into society’s mold—misunderstood, labeled as outsiders, dismissed as unworthy. But who defines what is "right"? Why must we conform to someone else’s standards?
"Even if you are bent, something new can emerge from that very distortion."
